In January 2009 Paul returned to his love of landscape painting after spending the previous four years painting text based works. The text for three of those years were the two words Hope & Love - and the paintings were ranging in scale from tiny, postcard sized paintings to multiple canvas works of up to 12 foot long. Previous to that he painted increasingly industrial landscapes. He is now working on a series of paintings of both Battersea and Ruskin Parks - often working on diptychs on canvas and on paper. They are idyllic, romantic explosions of colour! For the Lambeth Open event he will show a selection of works from both these groups of paintings.
