Born in the Cameroons, West Africa, Lucy Duke has lived and worked in South London for many years. A graduate of Camberwell School of Arts, she opens her home studio to visitors during both Dulwich Open House and Lambeth Open, offering a chance to see her work in the setting where it is created.
Lucy works in watercolour and pastel, creating vibrant drawings and paintings on paper. Inspired by still life, interiors and the landscape, she often paints en plein air, capturing the changing light and atmosphere directly from nature. Her distinctive approach to watercolour has earned her an established reputation, with exhibitions in France and Switzerland, as well as selection for numerous national open exhibitions throughout the UK.
